Growth

Pancho Villa was a very strong believer that Francisco Madero had a good idea when he wanted Growth, Change, and Land Reform.

Silhouette collage project

In this project we took pictures, then made them into silhouettes, once we did that we were told that we had to put in things that make us happy. When I heard this, I thought “That will be so easy!” I though about how I like music, and games, and books, but when I when to “http://www.google.com/images” I couldn’t think what to do, once I got those pictures, I had to think more in depth about myself, which is something that I don’t do very often…I found that once I looked into myself, I didn’t know what to look for, it was almost as if I didn’t know myself! So, I looked at my past, and present, and what I would hope to continue for the future.

When we took the images, Paul took a picture of me, I chose a pose that would be able to fit my whole body and so that there wouldn’t be any wholes in my body, for example there would be no space under my arm, so that the only space was between my legs. There were two lights behind me, so I stood in front of them, to block the light so that my body looked as dark as possible. When I saw the picture I could still see the writing on my sweatshirt, and parts of my pants etc. So I darkened It by selecting my body, with the magic wand tool, and going to levels. Once it was dark enough I had to make the background completely white, so I selected it with the magic wand tool, while holding shift and when I had the whole background selected, I painted it white, with the paintbrush tool.

Once I had all of the pictures, came the hard part. This is when i had to decide what to do with them, I wanted to place them in a way that showed them in the way that showed how much I appreciated them. I put the images onto my body, and tried to find a way that made them look united, I am sure I put every picture on there and played with it, and took it back off at least twice. I couldn’t find that right way to unify them. I tried, and tried and ultimately decided to just put them on there, blend them and see how they work out. I tried and that is how it worked out.
